How the diesel engine wheat paddy thresher handles the crop

Harvested crop feeds into an open type peg drum that rotates inside a full 360-degree concave. The upper concave is a wire woven sieve with guide plates, and the lower concave uses grate rods set 20 MM apart. Threshed grain falls through and then passes a screening and winnowing stage made up of an oscillating straw walker step, a wire woven sieve with 9x9 square holes and a fan in two sections. Augers carry the clean grain out and return the tailings to the drum for a second pass.

Rated performance

• Threshing capacity is rated at 1500-2200 kg/h for either rice or wheat, depending on crop condition.
• Threshing loss is 3% or less for rice and 1.5% for wheat, with broken grain held to 1.5% or less.
• Impurity content in the cleaned grain is 2% or less.
• The machine weighs 435 kg and needs a crew of 3-4 people for steady feeding.

Settings that change with the crop

The oscillating sieve makes 300 strokes a minute for wheat and 260 for rice with a 30 MM amplitude, while the fan turns at 1160 rpm for rice and 1025 rpm for wheat. Peg tip clearance is 28 MM at the front and rear guide plates and 11 MM at the middle plate, and it varies from 20-35 MM or 20-77 MM in other sections. Working dimensions are 2010x2220x1950 MM, and the machine reduces to 1800x1650x1650 MM for transportation.

Build and main parts

The frame is typically built from mild steel and cast iron, which we confirm at quotation, and the main parts are the drum, concave screen, cover, main fan, second suction fan, vibrating screen and a traction-driven device.
