Machinery Exporter to India: Farm, Construction and Solar Equipment
South Asia · Indian Rupee (INR) · Main port: Jawaharlal Nehru Port (Nhava Sheva), Mumbai · SAARC / BIMSTEC
Machines & Equipments is a machinery exporter to India that ships factory-direct from Shanghai, China, to Jawaharlal Nehru Port (Nhava Sheva), Mumbai. Importers, distributors, contractors and tender winners buy farm machines, site plant and solar products from us. We prepare the export papers your customs broker needs for customs clearance.
Product ranges Indian buyers ask for
India is a large South Asia market and a member of the SAARC / BIMSTEC regional groups. Most enquiries we get from Indian firms fall into three ranges:
- Agricultural Machinery for small and mid-size farms, from land prep to harvest and post-harvest work
- Construction Machinery for roads, housing, drainage and site works
- Solar Systems such as panels, inverters, pumps and street lights for rooftop, farm and village schemes
Many Indian buyers are dealers who stock a range, so an order may mix several models in one container.
Points a machinery exporter to India confirms before production
India has strict rules for some imported goods, and a wrong detail can hold a shipment at the port. Before we start building, we confirm:
- The model and spec, line by line, against your purchase order or tender clause.
- Voltage and frequency, so motors and controls suit the Indian grid.
- The Incoterm you prefer: EXW, FOB, CFR or CIF.
- Any product standard or mark your buyer or broker says is required, so we can tell you early if we cannot provide it.
Prices are quoted per order, based on quantity, spec, Incoterm and port. Your landed cost in Indian Rupee (INR) terms will also include duties and taxes, so we advise you to confirm those with your customs broker.
Shipping to Nhava Sheva and export documents
Bulk machinery usually moves by sea as a full container load, while a single machine can travel as a shared part-load. Air freight is an option for urgent spare parts. Each shipment includes a commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading and certificate of origin, and our guide to shipping, Incoterms and export documents sets out who pays for each stage.
For extra test reports or certificates, send us your broker's list. We will say which ones we can supply and which must come from a third party.
Government tenders in India
Much central government buying runs through GeM, the Government e-Marketplace at gem.gov.in. The Central Public Procurement Portal (CPPP) also posts tender notices and awards from central departments. If you plan to bid, share the technical clause with us and we will confirm product fit and the papers we can give you before your deadline.
