About this unit
A bench-standing coder that prints date, batch and price onto packs at around 20 a minute, driven by a DC stepper motor and using ink paste as its medium. It is the simple end of coding equipment and that is its argument: compact, light enough to move between benches, and with little to go wrong or to stock as spares. Operators feed packs by hand, so the rate is set by the person rather than the machine. Where a line already runs at speed the conveyorised version is the one to specify instead. For a small packing room, a seasonal line or a second site that codes a few hundred packs a day, this does the job without a conveyor.
