Supplying Nigeria
Nigeria is served by Lagos - Apapa and Tin Can Island - together with Lekki deep sea port, which now carries the largest single share of national cargo throughput, and Onne in Rivers State. Lekki's draught makes a difference to heavy, out-of-gauge plant, so tell us the port in the enquiry rather than leaving it to the forwarder.
SONCAP is the part of a Nigerian order to plan first. The Standards Organisation of Nigeria regulates imported goods by category, and machinery is firmly inside the scope - there is no automatic exemption for capital equipment, even for a manufacturer's own plant. Two documents are issued in the country of export before shipment: a Product Certificate and then a SONCAP Certificate for the consignment. Destination inspection is not an available fallback, and container loading is witnessed. We work to that sequence as standard, and we will not ship against a promise to sort the paperwork out later.
Federal tenders run through the Bureau of Public Procurement. Where a contract touches oil and gas, the Nigerian content requirements under the NCDMB apply and they are strict about in-country fabrication - raise that early and we will structure the quotation around it.
