Fire Fighting Equipment Manufacturers and Exporters in China
This division holds fire fighting equipment – extinguishers across every charge type, hose, hose reels and boxes, fire blankets and detection – manufactured in China under our own brand and exported worldwide. Fire equipment is bought against a regulation rather than a preference: the class of fire, the occupancy and the local code decide what must be installed, and the specification follows from those rather than from price.
Which fire extinguisher for which fire?
Extinguisher type follows fire class. Dry chemical powder covers the broadest range and is the general-purpose choice. Carbon dioxide leaves no residue, which is why it is specified around electrical equipment and sensitive plant. Mechanical foam suits flammable liquid. Water suits ordinary combustibles and must never be used on electrical or liquid fires. Clean agent is specified where neither residue nor water is acceptable. The occupancy decides the mix, not the budget.

How to specify fire fighting equipment
What decides the specification?
Local regulation, almost entirely. Fire equipment is one of the few categories where the buyer rarely has a free choice: the code that applies to the building sets the type, the rating and often the spacing and number. Send the code or the schedule you are working to, because a specification that is technically sound and does not meet the local requirement cannot be installed.
Portable or trolley mounted?
By the size of the risk and who will use it. A portable extinguisher is for first response by whoever is nearest, and above about 9 kg most people cannot handle one effectively under stress. A trolley mounted unit carries a far larger charge to a known high-risk point – a fuel store, a generator room, a loading bay – where someone trained will bring it to the fire.
What is usually forgotten on a fixed installation?
The hose box and the reel type. Hose needs housing at the point of use, and a reel that swings out reaches around an obstruction where a fixed drum does not. Controlled percolating hose is specified where the hose itself must resist burning through while charged. These are decided at design stage rather than added afterwards.
Do extinguishers need servicing?
Yes, and the interval is set by the local regulation rather than by the manufacturer. Pressure gauges, refilling and periodic testing are an ongoing cost of ownership that belongs in the purchase decision, particularly on a large installation where the service contract over ten years can exceed the original equipment cost.
Specifications and standards to compare
| Equipment | Key specifications to compare | Relevant standards |
|---|---|---|
| Portable extinguishers | Charge type and weight, fire class rating, discharge time, operating temperature range | Must meet the standard named by the authority at the destination |
| Trolley mounted extinguishers | Charge weight, hose length, wheel and frame construction, discharge rate | Must meet the standard named by the authority at the destination |
| Fire hose | Diameter, length, working and burst pressure, lining and coating type | Specify required standard at enquiry |
| Hose reels and boxes | Hose capacity, swing or fixed mounting, material and finish, door type | Specify required standard at enquiry |
| Fire blankets | Size, material, temperature resistance, container type | Specify required standard at enquiry |
| Fire Alarm | Zones, conventional or addressable, power supply, sounder and broadcast provision | Specify required standard and approval route at enquiry |
Fire equipment is approved rather than merely specified in most markets. Name the standard and the approving authority at enquiry, because equipment that does not hold the required approval cannot be installed whatever its technical specification says.
Covering a building or a site
A fire specification is normally built by area and risk rather than by product:
- General areas – portable ABC or DCP extinguishers at the spacing the local code requires.
- Electrical and plant rooms – carbon dioxide, because residue from powder damages equipment that survived the fire.
- Fuel and flammable liquid stores – mechanical foam, trolley mounted where the quantity justifies it.
- Kitchens and vehicles – fire blankets, which deal with the commonest small fire faster than any extinguisher.
- Fixed installation – hose reels with hose boxes at designed points, with reel type chosen for the obstructions around them.
- Detection – alarm panel and sounders, with broadcast where occupancy or building size requires voice evacuation.
Who buys from this division
| Buyer | What they typically need |
|---|---|
| Building contractor | A full schedule against the fire code for a new building, delivered to programme |
| Factory or warehouse operator | Mixed extinguisher types by area risk, with hose reels at fixed points |
| Fire and safety distributor | Container quantities across charge types and sizes for a local market |
| Government or municipal tender | Quantities against a schedule naming the required approval |
| Fleet and transport operator | Vehicle extinguishers and fire blankets in quantity |
| Hotel, hospital or school | Portable cover with alarm and broadcast appropriate to occupancy |
| Fuel depot or generator site | Foam and trolley mounted units sized to the stored quantity |
| Service and refill company | Extinguishers, gauges and components for maintenance contracts |
Approval, documentation and shipping
Pressure vessels and fire equipment attract more scrutiny at import than general machinery, and charged extinguishers are classified as dangerous goods for sea freight in most cases, which affects both the packing and the documentation. Say at enquiry whether units are to ship charged or uncharged, because the two routes differ in cost, lead time and paperwork, and uncharged shipment requires a local filling arrangement at the destination. Where the destination requires an approval mark, name the authority and the standard at enquiry so the certification route is settled before production rather than after.
Tender and schedule enquiries
Fire tenders are almost always written as a schedule against a code, listing type, rating, quantity and location. Send it as issued and it is quoted line by line, which is how it will be evaluated. Where the schedule names an approval mark, say so explicitly – approval is a pass or fail requirement and quoting an unapproved equivalent on price will lose the bid rather than win it.
What is included and what is not
Supplied: the equipment to the specification and approval named, packed for export with the documentation the shipping classification requires. Not supplied: installation, local fire certification for the building, servicing or refilling, which rest with the owner and a locally licensed contractor. Service intervals are set by local regulation and should be planned into the purchase, since on a large installation the maintenance cost over the life of the equipment can exceed what it cost to buy.

Questions buyers ask
Which extinguisher type do I need?
The fire class decides it. Powder is the broadest cover and the usual default across mixed premises. Carbon dioxide is chosen where residue would be the real damage, around electrics and sensitive plant. Foam is for flammable liquids. Water handles ordinary combustibles only, and putting it on live electrics or burning liquid makes things considerably worse. Clean agent covers the cases where neither residue nor water can be tolerated.
Why is CO2 specified for server and plant rooms?
Because of what it leaves behind, which is nothing. Dry powder will put the fire out but the residue is corrosive and gets into everything, so equipment that survived the fire is often written off by the extinguishing agent. In a room full of electronics or precision plant that secondary damage can cost more than the fire would have.
Portable or trolley mounted?
By the size of the risk and who will use it. A portable is for first response by whoever is nearest, and above about 9 kg most people cannot handle one effectively under stress. A trolley mounted unit carries a much larger charge to a known high-risk point such as a fuel store or generator room, where trained staff will bring it to the fire.
Does fire equipment need approval in my country?
Almost certainly, and it is a pass or fail requirement rather than a preference. Equipment that does not hold the approval named by the authority cannot be installed whatever its technical specification says. Name the standard and the approving authority at enquiry so the certification route is settled before production rather than discovered at inspection.
Can extinguishers ship charged?
They can, but charged units are classified as dangerous goods for sea freight in most cases, which affects packing, cost, lead time and documentation. Shipping uncharged is cheaper and simpler but requires a filling arrangement at the destination. Say which route you want at enquiry, because the two are quoted and packed quite differently.
What is controlled percolating hose?
Hose designed so that a small amount of water passes through the jacket while it is charged, keeping the outer surface wet. That matters where hose may be dragged across hot surfaces or near fire, because a dry jacket can burn through under pressure. It is specified at design stage for installations where that exposure is likely.
What is the ongoing cost of an installation?
Servicing, and it is set by local regulation rather than by us. Pressure checks, refilling and periodic testing recur for the life of the equipment, and on a large installation the service cost over ten years can exceed what the equipment cost to buy. It belongs in the purchase decision rather than being treated as a later surprise.
How should a fire tender be sent?
As the schedule was issued, listing type, rating, quantity and location against the code. It is quoted line by line because that is how it will be evaluated. Where the schedule names an approval mark, say so explicitly: quoting an unapproved equivalent on price loses the bid rather than winning it.
