About this unit
6-litre stored pressure mechanical foam (AFFF) extinguisher in carbon steel, discharge time 20-180 seconds, 95% discharge. Foam blankets a burning liquid surface and seals the vapour in, so it holds a flammable-liquid fire down instead of scattering it the way a powder jet can. Used upright: pull the safety pin, aim the nozzle at the base of the fire, squeeze the handle.
