Choosing a wheel loader

A loader is bought on two figures that have to agree with each other: rated load and bucket capacity. The bucket is sized to the material, not to the machine. A 6.5 cubic metre bucket that is right for woodchip will overload the same loader on wet sand, because what fills the bucket is volume and what lifts it is weight. Tell us the material and its density and the pairing follows.

After that it is a question of cycle: how far the loader carries, and what it is loading into. Short cycles into a crusher ask different things of a machine than long hauls across a yard, and the dump height has to clear the body of whatever is being filled.

What we supply

Quarry, site and bulk supply

Loaders are bought for a job rather than from a catalogue, so the enquiry that gets a useful answer names the material, the cycle and what is being loaded. Where you are buying several, or quoting into a tender, pricing is set against quantity and delivery programme.

Terms are FOB, CIF or CFR. Bucket teeth and cutting edges go on the same order as the machine – they are consumable, and sourcing them separately later costs more than ordering them now.
