About this unit
A carbonated soft drinks plant is built as separate treatment sections that meet at the mixer: water treatment, syrup preparation, and carbon dioxide treatment, feeding a mixing section and then filling and packaging. Keeping those three streams apart until the mixer is what lets one plant make cola, orange, lemonade and plain soda water without a long changeover, since only the syrup side changes between products. Water treatment is the section that decides quality, because incoming water varies by site and carbonation exposes anything left in it. Utilities are part of the plant rather than an afterthought: compressor, chiller and steam boiler are sized with the line, along with the installation materials.
