Quick Donning Doffing Bulletproof Body Armor
This quick donning doffing bulletproof body armor is a modular suit that an officer can put on and take off in moments, using nylon straps and quick-connect clips. Flame resistant, reinforced PA (polyamide) panels guard the chest, back, shoulders and arms against stones and metal projectiles. We build it in China for police and army buyers.
Why fast donning matters
Units are often called out at short notice. A suit that takes minutes to strap on slows the whole team, and one that is hard to remove makes first aid harder. On this model each piece fastens and adjusts quickly, so a wearer can get a custom fit without help.
The front and back hard shells use a modular flex design. It lets the panels follow the body for people of different builds without cutting mobility. The knee and shin guards have a non-slip face, which helps the wearer stay planted when kneeling behind a shield line.
Protection and test data
The listed protect area is 1.08m2, with coverage of ≥0.1 for the back, ≥0.18 for the arms and ≥0.30 for the legs. Velcro holds above 7.2N/cm2, buckles above 500N and joints above 2000N. The maker reports:
- No piercing when a dagger is pressed on the chest, back or groin at 2000N for one minute (≥ 20J)
- No damage after a 7.5kg steel ball strikes the chest and arms again and again from 163cm (≥ 20J)
- Steady performance from -20 °C to +55 °C
Ballistic panels for this type of armor are typically aramid or UHMWPE, with optional hard plate inserts, and levels up to NIJ IIIA-IV equivalent depend on the model.
