This 8-9 kg riot police armor for crowd control is an 11-part modular suit that guards the body against blows, stabs and thrown objects. It covers 1.08m2 of the body, from neck to foot. We build it in China under our Anti Riot Armour line within the Army Equipment range, for police and tender buyers.
What the 8-9 kg riot police armor for crowd control covers
The 11 parts run from top to bottom:
- Neck guard
- Vest with shoulder and groin guards
- Forearm and elbow guards, plus glove covers
- Buttock and thigh guards
- Shin, knee and foot guards
The suit is fully modular, so an officer can decide how much protection to carry for each operation, and all parts attach quickly. It is intended for riots, public order duty and any situation that threatens the physical safety of the officer.
Test data from the maker
The maker lists these results for the suit:
- A dagger under 2000N of static pressure for one minute does not pierce the chest, back or groin parts
- A 7.5kg steel ball dropped from 163cm on the chest and arms leaves no damage
- Performance holds from -20 to +55 °C
The spec table also lists Velcro strength above 7.2N/cm2, buckle strength above 500N and joint strength above 2000N. The name mentions fire protection too, and we confirm flame test papers at enquiry.
Build and fit
Suits of this type are usually made from high-density polyethylene or polycarbonate plates over impact foam. Panels are segmented and secured with hook-and-loop or buckle straps, so the wearer can still run and bend, and the total weight of 8 to 9 kg is distributed across the body during long deployments.
