Features of this ballistic overvest

The design spreads the load so the wearer can move, crouch and run with less strain. The confirmed features are:

• Ergonomic design for easy movement in trucks and on foot
• Toughened pockets that hold armour plates in place
• Water repellent outer carrier that can be washed after wet and dusty duty
• Utility pouches at the front and sides
• Adjustable collar to help cover the neck
• Inner waist belt that spreads weight evenly onto the hips
• Foldable, pull-out groin guard

Typical build

Over vests of this kind are typically a heavy-duty nylon carrier worn over a base ballistic vest. Pouches usually attach with MOLLE/PALS webbing on adjustable shoulder straps, and the vest adds load capacity for magazines, radios and field pouches. The level of protection depends on the plates and panels you fit. We confirm it for each order and never claim a rating that has not been checked. Many tenders refer to the NIJ body armor standards when they set a level.

Choosing among military over vests

For coastal and river units, our floatation over vests add buoyancy to the carrier. If you mostly need pouch space, compare the multi-utility over vest.

Ordering for export

Buyers usually ask us to confirm the plate size, pouch layout, colour and size split first, and we put these in writing before production. We quote on EXW, FOB, CFR or CIF terms to your chosen port. Importers, contractors and tender winners in Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana and many other markets receive a commercial invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and bill of lading with each shipment. See our certifications and compliance documents page for how we handle tender paperwork.

Price and lead time

We do not publish prices, as cost depends on plates, pouches, quantity and port. Send us your order details and we will quote a price and a lead time. More kit is listed in our army equipment category.
