Army Floatation Over Vests Instafloat
The Army Floatation Over Vests Instafloat is a buoyant overvest with a floating collar, made in China as part of our ballistic overvest range for units that work on or near water. The collar keeps the wearer upright and supports the head, even if the wearer is knocked out. The vest lists a buoyancy level of 15 kg at dead load and has toughened pockets for up-armour inserts.
Why the Army Floatation Over Vests Instafloat has a collar
A plain flotation vest keeps the body up but can let the head tip forward. The Instafloat collar is there to hold the face clear of the water, which matters most when a soldier is hurt, tired or weighed down by kit. It is the main feature that sets this model apart from our standard over vest.
- Collar: floating collar for an upright position and head support in an unconscious state
- Buoyancy: 15 kg at dead load
- Shell: puncture-resistant, water-resistant, buoyant ballistic material
- Fit: adjustable at the shoulder and waist for comfort
- Drainage: quick drainage of water
- Pockets: toughened pockets for up-armour inserts
Points we go over with buyers
Buyers usually tell us the role first: boat crews, bridge guards, flood response or water crossings. We then check the insert weight you plan to carry, since heavy plates use up part of the lift. Panels in this type of vest are typically closed-cell foam in a nylon or PU carrier, and we confirm the build for your order.
Colour, camouflage pattern and unit marking are agreed in writing before we start. If your tender names a flotation or armour standard, send us the clause.
Supply and export
The vest is held in stock or made to order and ships in seaworthy export crates, with the export papers customs will ask for. We supply importers and tender winners in Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana and more than 60 other countries.
