Why farmers use an Agricultural Rotavator

Fewer passes mean less fuel, less time and less soil compaction. A rotavator also mixes crop residue into the topsoil, which helps it break down before the next crop. In paddy fields, it is used for puddling, churning wet soil so it holds water.

Machines of this type are typically tractor PTO driven, three-point linkage, with a PTO-driven rotating blade rotor. Blades are usually hardened steel L- or C-shaped blades. A typical size is 1.5-2.5 m working width, up to 20 cm depth, and we confirm your model's figures at quotation.

Choosing blades

• L-shaped blades suit trash and hard, dry ground
• C-shaped blades cut cleanly in soft or wet soil
• Spare blade sets are worth ordering with the machine

What we check with buyers

We ask for the tractor horsepower and PTO speed, the working width and the main crop. Wet paddy and dry upland work call for different setups, so we confirm the blade type and gearbox before production.

A rotavator does not replace deep ploughing on hard land. For that, start with a mould board plough or a disk plough. On soils that smear easily, the power harrow is another option.
