Why choose an Agricultural Mould Board Plough

A mouldboard plough inverts the furrow slice fully, which a disc plough does less well. That makes it a good choice where you need to bury stubble, turn in manure or break up old grassland. The maker notes that this plough works well in very hard land and in soils where scouring is a problem, and its high under-frame clearance lets it work under heavy crop residue without blocking.

Implements of this type are typically tractor-drawn, three-point linkage with fixed curved mouldboard bottoms. They are usually built from hardened, polished steel mouldboards and shares. Typical sizes run to 2-5 furrow bottoms, with a 0.3-0.45 m furrow width per bottom.
