The Agricultural Intensive Scourer cleans the outside of wheat and similar grain before it goes to dampening. It rubs off skin dust and crease dirt and leaves the kernel surface slightly rough, so water soaks in faster and more evenly. What the Agricultural Intensive Scourer does in a mill
In the cleaning section of a flour mill, the scourer comes after coarse cleaning and before the dampener. Its rotor carries 8 beater strips that throw grain against a specially designed wire mesh sieve, which gives high friction between the kernels, the beaters and the screen. Loose dust and husk pass out through the mesh for aspiration.
On this type the drive is typically motor driven, continuous feed. It turns a rotating abrasive beater/whitener shaft. Beater elements are usually abrasive emery or steel beater elements, and typical throughput is 1-4 tonnes per hour. We confirm the exact rating and motor for your model at quotation.
