About this unit
Specified where the time taken to get into and out of armour counts for as much as the protection itself. Front and back hard-shell panels are built on a modular flex design, so one size accommodates a wide spread of body shapes without fitting being tuned to each wearer, and every section fastens with nylon straps and quick-connect clips rather than laces or buckles. The shell is a reinforced PA material with flame resistance, covering chest, back, shoulders and arms against stone and metallic projectiles. The knee and shin guard carries a non-slip face, which is what keeps a wearer braced on a line instead of sliding under a push. Weight is held down across the set so mobility survives a long deployment.
