Food On-Line Contact Coder
The On-Line Contact Coder is a light, stepper-driven unit that stamps batch codes, dates and prices onto packs using grooved or flat stereos and fast-drying ink. It prints up to 100 codes a minute and weighs about 11 kg, so one person can lift and move it. It needs no compressor, which makes it a simple swap for an electro-pneumatic coder.
How an on-line contact coder prints
Type is set on a stereo and inked, then pressed onto the pack by a DC stepper motor, and the coder can run on a built-in timer that you set, or it can fire from any sensor or foot switch. That lets it sit on a packaging machine, on a conveyor, or on a bench for hand-fed work.
