An auto carton coder for taping machine prints batch numbers, dates, logos and other large text onto corrugated master cartons as they pass along a conveyor or through a carton taping machine. How the auto carton coder for taping machine prints
You compose the message by push-fitting grooved stereos onto a ring drum, which takes only minutes. When a carton passes, friction turns the drum, the stereos pick up ink from the cartridge, and the text prints in one stroke. A spring then turns the drum back to its zero point, so each carton starts from the same place in the message.
This friction-driven, on-line design needs no motor of its own. It fits beside the tape head on most carton sealers.
