Direct heat versus impulse sealing

In a direct heat sealer the jaws are held at a set temperature, and an air cylinder presses the film between them, which suits thicker laminates and foil pouches that need more heat than an impulse wire gives. The trade-off is that the bars stay warm between cycles, so guards and a good work layout matter.

Is a flameproof direct heat sealing machine right for your line?

It is used for tea, snacks, wafers and namkeen in PE, LD or BOPP film, and for heavier laminates. If the room is a rated hazard zone, send us the zone class and required marking, and we confirm what we can supply for that site in writing rather than assume a rating.

Buyers usually tell us the film, pouch width and target packs per minute, and we then suggest a suitable bar length and temperature range. Export packing and paperwork
