How the pneumatic impulse sealer works

An impulse sealer only heats its sealing wire for a short burst each cycle, so the jaws stay cool between bags. On this model the jaws are closed by a pneumatic cylinder, fed from a site air compressor, rather than by a hand lever. That gives an even, repeatable press on thick laminate, which is hard to get by hand on a full 50 kg sack.

The operator starts each seal with a foot switch or a button, and the frame stands in a vertical layout, so a filled bag can rest on a stand or conveyor while its mouth sits between the jaws. Automatic and manual operating systems can both be supplied.

What to check before you order

Tell us the film type and total thickness, since a BOPP laminate seals at a different heat setting than plain PE. We also confirm your mains voltage and frequency and the air pressure your compressor can hold.
