Army Wire and Cable Detector
The Army Wire and Cable Detector is a handheld field tool that finds hidden wires and cables in soil, roads and objects, above all the control wires used to fire an IED. We build it in China for export and supply single units, bulk lots or tender quantities to army, police and security buyers.
Two operating modes
Listed in our Bomb Detection Equipments line, this model has two modes, and each fits a different stage of a search:
- Unknown wire line detection. The operator sweeps an area to find a wire that nobody knows is there.
- Revealed line tracing. Once a wire is found, the operator follows it along the ground to its end.
The maker states the device is meant for field work and picks up wire lines of RC IED cables from 20 metres and longer. The sensing works on both metal and non-metal lines, with a visible or audible alert when it finds one. The housing is usually a rugged handheld case.
