Food Square High Speed Emulsification Tank
The Square High Speed Emulsification Tank is a square-bottom mixing vessel with a high-shear rotor that disperses and emulsifies powders into liquid. It comes in four sizes from 400 to 1000 litres of effective volume, with motors from 7.5 to 15 kW and 50 mm of insulation. We build it in China for drink, dairy and sauce plants that dissolve sugar, milk powder and seasonings.
How high-shear emulsifying works
The rotor pulls liquid and powder into a narrow gap and throws it out at high speed. This gives the mix a strong vertical cut, so the top and bottom layers do not differ in quality. The maker states that the emulsifying head can run at up to 2890 rpm, which helps powders dissolve fast and stops lumps forming.
The square body is a normal-pressure welded vessel. Its flat sides break up the swirl you get in a round tank, so the product turns over rather than just spinning.
