Sea-Buckthorn Processing Plant
Our Sea-Buckthorn Processing Plant turns big or small berries, with or without fruit sticks, into juice concentrate, transparent juice, cloudy juice and sea-buckthorn oil. Lines are built from 20T/D-2000T/D, with an output percentage of at least 90% and juice at 10 to 15 Brix. Each line is designed around your raw fruit, end product and budget.
What makes this line different
The traditional way is to press the berries with their sticks still attached, which adds bitter wood and makes the juice hard to clean. This line removes the sticks first, then cleans and pulps the fruit before extracting juice. That order solves several old problems at once, including stick removal, washing, pulping and clearing the juice.
During juice production, the line also recovers as much juice oil and seed oil as it can. Those oils often carry more value than the juice itself, so they add real return to each tonne of fruit.
How a Sea-Buckthorn Processing Plant is configured
No two lines are the same. The equipment is chosen to match the end product:
- Clear juice usually needs enzyme treatment and membrane filtration
- Concentrate adds an evaporator to lift the Brix
- Cloudy juice skips fine filtration to keep the pulp
- Oil needs separation of the juice oil and seed oil streams
Clients can choose basic, mid-level or high-level equipment to suit their investment. Typical plants of this kind are semi-automatic to PLC-controlled, but the level of automation is set per project. Finished products can be packed in aseptic bags, glass bottles, PET bottles, gable top boxes or Tetra Pak.
Hygiene and operation
