Food Outdoor Milk Storage Tank
This Outdoor Milk Storage Tank is an insulated stainless steel silo that holds chilled raw milk outside the dairy building. The maker states that milk entering at 5 °C or below can be held for 24 hours with a rise of no more than 2 °C. A high-speed agitator keeps the fat from rising, and the tank is built from SUS304-2B stainless steel.
Outdoor Milk Storage Tank construction
The tank is a vertical cylinder with a cone top of 15° and a bottom that slopes at 5° to help it drain. It stands on a base, with an insulation layer or cooling jacket between the inner wall and the outer shell.

- Outer shell: 2 mm SUS304-2B, welded and passivated, or painted corrugated sheet on request
- Insulation: 100 mm polyurethane foam, or rock wool if you prefer
- Cooling jacket over the lower third of the tank
- Agitator driven by a 4 kW motor

Fittings and cleaning
A working chamber at the base holds an oval manhole, the agitator, the inlet and outlet, a sampling valve and a pressure transmitter. On top there is a breathing valve, a vent cover and a double-T CIP spray head, reached by a side ladder and a guarded platform. A thermometer reads from 0 to 100 °C.
