What the filter does on a process line

Liquid enters the housing, passes through a mesh or perforated screen, and leaves clean, while seeds, fibres, fragments of gasket or scale remain in the screen. This protects equipment downstream and keeps foreign material out of the final package.

In food plants the filter must drain completely and open quickly for cleaning. Clamp connections are common, so operators can remove the screen by hand and replace it without tools.

Where it fits among fittings
