Conventional Fire Alarm System
This conventional fire alarm system is built around a wall-mounted fire alarm control panel in an MS (mild steel) case. It runs on a 12-24 V supply with a 500mA current rating and has mute buzzer and evacuate keys on the front. It is a semi-automatic, zone-based panel for shops, schools, small offices and warehouses.
How a conventional fire alarm system works
Detectors and call points are wired in groups called zones, often one zone per floor or wing. When a device trips, the panel lights up that zone and sounds the alarm. The mute buzzer key silences the panel buzzer while staff check the area, and the evacuate key sounds the building alarm at once.
Because it only reports by zone, a conventional panel is simpler and cheaper to wire than an addressable fire detection system. It suits smaller sites where a zone covers only a few rooms. Larger sites with many rooms often move to addressable.
Site conditions and checks
The panel is rated for up to 95% relative humidity, which helps in humid coastal cities. Before production we confirm:
- The number of zones you need
- Detector, call point and sounder types
- Mains voltage and battery backup time
- Any local fire code or standard the consultant follows
If your design follows an NFPA code, tell us which one. We only state what we can document for this model and flag anything we cannot confirm.
Supply for importers, contractors and tenders
We supply single panels, bulk orders and tender quantities to importers and contractors in Nigeria, Kenya and Ghana. Each shipment carries the invoice, packing list, certificate of origin and bill of lading for customs. If you are buying against a tender, check how we handle compliance documents and send the spec from your award.
