How the capper works

Bottles enter from the left and travel to the right along the conveyor. A vibrator bowl sorts loose caps and feeds them down a chute to the capping head, which picks a cap, positions it on the neck and turns it to the preset torque before the bottle moves on.

With a single head, the actual speed depends on bottle dimensions and cap type. Small bottles with short threads operate near the top of the range, while large jars with deep threads run noticeably slower.

What to send us

We ask buyers for a sample bottle and cap, or accurate drawings, before we configure the chuck and feeder, and it also helps to tell us:

• Cap type, for example screw, press-on or ROPP closures
• The operating speed of the filling machine ahead of the capper
• Whether your production line runs right to left instead
• Your site electrical supply, if it differs from 415V
