Army Bulletproof Helmets
Army Bulletproof Helmets are ballistic helmets for soldiers and police, usually built with an aramid or high-density polyethylene shell and most often rated near NIJ level IIIA. We make them in China, sell single units or bulk lots, and confirm the rating for each order before we start.
How Army Bulletproof Helmets are built
The shell is pressed from many layers of aramid (Kevlar-type) cloth or polyethylene sheet. The layers catch fragments and handgun rounds and spread the force over a wide area. Inside, a padded liner and a four-point chin strap usually hold the helmet steady and soak up shock.
- Shell: aramid composite or high-density polyethylene, depending on the model
- Protection: most often NIJ IIIA-equivalent against fragments and handgun rounds
- Fit: four-point strap that adjusts, with a padded liner, as a rule
Polyethylene shells are often lighter, while aramid shells cope better with heat. The right choice depends on your climate, your budget and the threat your team will face.
Reading the protection level
NIJ IIIA is a US rating for armour that stops common handgun rounds. It does not cover rifle fire. The NIJ body armor standards page explains how the levels are set and tested. Ratings vary by model, so we confirm the exact level and any test report when you ask, rather than state it here.
What we confirm before we make your order
Buyers usually ask us for the shell weight, the size range and the colour or cover print first. We recommend sending the helmet line from your tender, with the rating and any test lab it names. We then confirm the shell, sizes, mounts and packing in writing.
We ship to Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana and many other markets from China. The shipping, Incoterms and export documents page lists the papers that travel with each load.
Complete the body armour set
Most tenders pair helmets with vests, so see our army bulletproof vests for matching protection. Send your quantity, port and delivery date for a written quote on Army Bulletproof Helmets.
