3D Printing 1.75mm PLA/ABS Filament
Our 3D Printing 1.75mm PLA/ABS Filament covers the two most common plastics for FDM printers, in the 1.75mm diameter that most desktop machines accept. PLA suits easy, low-odour printing, while ABS gives tougher parts that stand more heat. We export both factory-direct from China and quote each order by quantity and port.
PLA or ABS: which one to order
PLA is made from renewable plant starch and prints at a lower nozzle temperature. It adheres well to the bed, warps very little and produces crisp detail, so schools, design offices and first-time users usually start with it.
ABS is an oil-based plastic that is tougher and handles more heat once printed. It needs a heated bed and, ideally, an enclosed printer, because the part can warp or crack if it cools in a draught. Many buyers order both: PLA for models and ABS for working parts.
Using 3D Printing 1.75mm PLA/ABS Filament on your printers
The filament feeds any extruder built for 1.75mm stock. The printers in our 3D Printers category typically build parts layer by layer from a CAD or STL file. They usually have a steel or aluminium frame and a build volume from about 200x200x200 mm to 300x300x400 mm, so check your own printer's limits before you plan large parts.
Filament absorbs moisture from the surrounding air, and damp spools print with bubbles, stringing and weak layers. We recommend storing opened spools in a sealed bag with a drying pack.
Colours, quantity and export terms
We confirm the plastic, colour mix and number of spools with each buyer before packing. For schools, labs and resellers, a mixed order of PLA and ABS in several colours is common. Orders ship from China to Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana and other markets, packed for sea freight.
For stiffer parts, see our 1.75mm carbon fibre filament. For a metal look, try the 1.75mm red copper filament. If you still need a machine, the all-metal frame 3D printer assembled kits pair well with this 3D Printing 1.75mm PLA/ABS Filament. Our shipping and export documents page explains each Incoterm we quote on.
