Machinery Exporter to Zimbabwe: Farm, Construction and Solar Supply
Southern Africa · Zimbabwe Gold (ZiG) — USD also used · Main port: Landlocked — transit via Beira, Mozambique or Durban, South Africa · SADC / COMESA
Machines & Equipments is a machinery exporter to Zimbabwe, supplying farm machines, building plant and solar systems from our factory in Shanghai, China. Zimbabwe has no coast, so cargo is shipped to Beira in Mozambique or Durban in South Africa and then trucked or railed inland. Our buyers include distributors, farm estates, contractors and firms that have won a tender.
What Zimbabwean buyers order most
Zimbabwe is in Southern Africa and is a member of SADC and COMESA. Farming is key to the economy and power cuts are common, so three groups of goods lead the requests we get:
- Agricultural Machinery for tobacco, maize and horticulture farms
- Construction Machinery for roads, dams and building sites
- Solar Systems for water pumps, farm stores and homes that face load shedding
Beira or Durban: picking the route
Beira is the short route to the border for Harare and the east. Durban has more ships but a longer road trip through South Africa. The best choice depends on your site, the size of the load and the cost of transit, which your clearing agent can quote. Either way, the goods pass through a transit country before they reach the border, so we make sure the commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading and certificate of origin all match the crate marks. See our page on shipping, Incoterms and export documents for how EXW, FOB, CFR and CIF divide cost and risk.
Currency and pricing
The local currency is the Zimbabwe Gold (ZiG) — USD also used widely in trade — and buyers usually ask us to quote in US dollars. That fits the way most import deals are paid. We price every order on its own, based on quantity, spec, Incoterm and port, and we publish no price list. Duties and inland freight are extra and should be confirmed with your agent.
Public tenders in Zimbabwe
Public buying is run under the Procurement Regulatory Authority of Zimbabwe (PRAZ), which sets the rules for suppliers and lists tender notices. Always check the notice for scope and deadlines. Send us the spec and the compliance clause, and we will confirm which items fit and what documents we can supply, and flag anything that needs a third-party check.
Points we check with every order
- The model and spec against your order or tender line.
- Voltage and frequency for pumps, motors and inverters.
- The Incoterm, the port of discharge and the inland delivery point.
- Packing that suits a long road leg, with clear marks on every crate.
Why choose a direct machinery exporter to Zimbabwe
Buying at the factory removes the markup a distributor adds, and one team handles your order from the first question to loading. We do not claim any certificate for an item until it has been confirmed; our certifications and compliance documents page explains how we handle this.
