Machinery Exporter to Sri Lanka: Farm, Food Processing and Solar
South Asia · Sri Lankan Rupee (LKR) · Main port: Colombo · SAARC
Machines & Equipments is a machinery exporter to Sri Lanka that ships factory-direct from Shanghai, China, to the port of Colombo. We supply farm machines, food processing lines and solar systems to importers, processors and tender winners, and we prepare the export papers needed for customs clearance in Colombo.
What Sri Lankan buyers order
Sri Lanka is a South Asia market and a member of SAARC. Rice, tea, coconut and spice production shape much of the demand we see, along with a push toward solar power. Most enquiries fall into three groups:
- Agricultural Machinery, such as power tillers, rice transplanters and harvesters
- Food Processing Machines for drying, grinding, oil pressing and packing
- Solar Systems including panels, inverters and solar pumps for farms and factories
A small processor may order one machine, while a larger plant may need a full line. We quote each one in full.
How a machinery exporter to Sri Lanka checks your order
We go over the key points before production starts, since fixing them later costs far more. Buyers usually ask us to confirm:
- The model and spec, matched line by line to your order or tender file.
- Voltage and frequency, so that motors suit the local power supply.
- For food lines, the contact material, which is often stainless steel for hygiene.
- The Incoterm you want: EXW, FOB, CFR or CIF, with Colombo as the port of discharge.
Prices are set per order, based on quantity, spec, Incoterm and port, and we publish no price list. Your landed cost in Sri Lankan Rupee (LKR) terms also depends on duties and local freight, which we recommend you confirm with your clearing agent.
Shipping to Colombo
Most machinery moves by sea, in a full container for bulk orders or as a shared part-load for a single unit. Each shipment comes with a commercial invoice, packing list, bill of lading and certificate of origin. Our guide to shipping, Incoterms and export documents explains who pays for what.
Food processors and public buyers often ask for extra product papers. Send us the list and we will say which items we can supply and which need a third party, as set out on our certifications and compliance documents page.
Tender supply through PROMISe e-GP
Public buying in Sri Lanka runs through the PROMISe e-GP system, which is overseen by the National Procurement Commission. If you are bidding on a tender there, or have won one, share the technical clause with us. We will confirm product fit and the papers we can provide before you submit, then plan production around your delivery date.
As a machinery exporter to Sri Lanka, we give a first-time bidder the same full quote as a large supplier.
