What Nepali buyers order from us

Nepal is a South Asia market and a member of SAARC / BIMSTEC, with hill farms, new roads and many sites off the grid. Most requests we get fall into three groups:

• Agricultural machinery and equipment such as mini tillers, threshers and pumps. Small plots in the hills and the Terai use them most.
• Construction machinery and equipment like mixers, rollers and crushers. These go to road, hydro and town projects.
• Solar system products such as panels, batteries and solar pumps. They power homes, schools and farms far from the grid.

Orders range from one tiller for a local dealer to large lots for public works.

Routing cargo as a machinery exporter to Nepal

Sea freight goes from Shanghai to Kolkata or Haldia, and the cargo then moves by road or rail through India to a Nepal border point. We agree the route and Incoterm with you at quote stage, since the transit leg affects cost, time and who clears each border. Many buyers take CFR or CIF to the Indian port and use their own agent for the rest.

Before production, buyers usually ask us to confirm these points:

1. The exact model and output, matched to the order or tender file.
2. Voltage and frequency, so motors suit the local power supply.
3. Compact, strong packing for hill roads and hand loading.
4. The Incoterm (EXW, FOB, CFR or CIF) and the named port or place.

Prices are quoted per order, based on quantity, spec, Incoterm and route. We do not publish price lists. Your landed cost in Nepalese Rupee (NPR) also depends on transit fees and duties, so we suggest you check these with your clearing agent.

Documents and public tenders

Public tenders in Nepal are posted on Bolpatra, the national e-procurement system. If you plan to bid, share the technical clause with us first, and we will confirm fit and papers before you submit.
