Field jacket built as an outer layer for working conditions rather than for parade. Utility pockets carry the small items that have to stay on the person, the front closure and adjustable cuffs let it be opened up when working and closed down against weather. What varies between tenders is the lining and the degree of weather resistance - an unlined shell for hot climates, a quilted or detachable liner where it has to cover a winter.
