Electric Three Wheeler Manufacturers and Exporters in China
This division holds 7 battery operated three wheelers – passenger e-rickshaws, open body loaders, electric tricycles, cargo vehicles and a garbage loader – manufactured in China under our own brand and exported worldwide. Electric three wheelers are bought on two figures that matter more than any other: how far the vehicle goes on a charge under real load, and how long the battery lasts before it must be replaced.
What is a battery operated three wheeler?
A three-wheeled electric vehicle built for short-distance passenger or goods work in towns and on unmade roads. It runs on a battery pack rather than fuel, which makes running cost low and maintenance simple, and it is the standard answer for last-mile transport where fuel is expensive, roads are narrow and distances are short.
Electric three wheeler range in this division
| Type | Vehicle | Applications |
|---|---|---|
| Passenger | Battery operated e-rickshaws, passenger 3 wheel electric taxis | Short-distance paid passenger transport in towns and suburbs |
| High power passenger | High power battery operated three wheelers and electric tricycles | Routes with gradients or heavier passenger loads |
| Open body | Open body battery operated e-rickshaws | Mixed passenger and light goods use |
| Battery Cargo Vehicle | High capacity battery cargo vehicles | Last-mile delivery, market and yard goods movement |
| Garbage E-Loader | Battery garbage loaders | Municipal waste collection in narrow streets |
How to select an electric three wheeler
What range figure should I believe?
The one measured with the vehicle loaded, on the gradients it will actually work. A range quoted unloaded on flat ground is a laboratory figure and real operation will fall well short of it. Tell us the daily distance, the typical load and whether the route has hills, and the specification can be matched to that rather than to a headline number.
What is the real cost of ownership?
The battery, and it is not close. The pack will be replaced several times over the vehicle's life, and its cost and local availability matter more than the purchase price difference between two models. Ask what pack the vehicle takes and whether it can be sourced where the vehicle will operate, before deciding on anything else.
Passenger or cargo body?
They are different vehicles beneath similar bodywork. A passenger vehicle is built around seating and a predictable load; a cargo vehicle carries concentrated weight and needs a stronger frame and suspension for it. Carrying goods regularly in a passenger vehicle shortens its life considerably.
Specifications and standards to compare
| Equipment | Key specifications to compare | Relevant standards |
|---|---|---|
| Passenger three wheelers | Motor rating, battery voltage and capacity, loaded range, seating, gradeability | Specify required homologation standard at enquiry |
| Cargo and loader vehicles | Payload, body dimensions, motor rating, battery capacity, loaded range | Specify required homologation standard at enquiry |
| All vehicles | Charger input voltage and frequency, charging time, battery chemistry and cycle life | Confirm vehicle approval requirements at the destination |
Road vehicle approval is a national matter and differs completely between markets. Confirm what registration or homologation your country requires before ordering, because a vehicle that cannot be registered cannot be operated whatever its specification.
Who buys from this division
| Buyer | What they typically need |
|---|---|
| Transport operator | Passenger vehicles with loaded range matched to a daily route |
| Municipality | Garbage loaders sized to narrow streets and collection rounds |
| Delivery or logistics business | Cargo vehicles by payload and body dimensions |
| Vehicle distributor | Container quantities with spares and battery supply arranged |
| Development or livelihood programme | Vehicles with battery availability and servicing planned locally |
| Large site or campus | Internal transport where road registration does not apply |
Batteries, charging and spares
Everything about running these vehicles comes back to the battery. Charging time determines how many hours a day the vehicle can work, so a fleet running two shifts needs either fast charging or spare packs. Pack life depends on how deeply it is discharged each day, which means a vehicle worked to the limit of its range every day will need replacement packs sooner than one with margin. Order the vehicle, the charger and an initial spares holding together, and establish where replacement packs will come from before the first one is needed rather than after.
What is included and what is not
Supplied: the vehicle with battery and charger to the specification given, packed for export with documentation. Not supplied: road registration, homologation on the buyer's behalf, insurance, charging infrastructure or local servicing. Confirm the charger input voltage and frequency at order, since it is built to the destination supply.

Questions buyers ask
How far will the vehicle actually go on a charge?
Less than an unloaded figure on flat ground suggests, which is how range is usually quoted. What matters is the distance with passengers or cargo aboard on the gradients of your route. Send the daily distance, the typical load and whether the route has hills, and the vehicle can be matched to that rather than to a headline number.
What is the real cost of running one?
The battery pack, by a wide margin. It will be replaced several times over the vehicle's life, so its price and local availability matter more than the difference in purchase price between two models. Ask what pack the vehicle takes and whether it can be bought where the vehicle will work, before anything else.
Can a passenger vehicle carry goods?
Occasionally, not routinely. Beneath similar bodywork these are different vehicles: a cargo model has the frame and suspension for concentrated weight, a passenger model does not. Using a passenger vehicle for regular goods work shortens its life noticeably and usually shows first in the suspension.
How long does charging take and does it limit the working day?
It can, and for a two-shift operation it usually does. Charging time determines how many hours a day the vehicle earns, so fleets running long hours either specify faster charging or hold spare packs and swap them. Decide which approach you want before ordering, since it affects the spares quantity.
Will the vehicle be road legal in my country?
That is a national matter and it differs completely between markets. Registration and homologation requirements must be confirmed locally before ordering, because a vehicle that cannot be registered cannot be operated whatever its specification. We supply to the specification you give; approval is not something we can obtain on your behalf.
What spares should be ordered with a fleet?
Battery packs first, then chargers, then the wearing items a vehicle in daily service goes through. Establish where replacement packs will come from before the first one is needed rather than after, because a fleet grounded waiting for batteries loses its revenue and not merely its parts cost.
