About this unit
A single chamber tea bag machine producing individually over-wrapped bags at 105 ± 5 bags per minute, in one finished overwrap size of 70 by 80 mm. Each bag carries both a string and a tag, and no staples are used anywhere in the construction. Staple-free construction is worth stating plainly, because a metal staple is what triggers a metal detector on a packing line and what some export markets will not accept in a food contact product. The individual overwrap costs more to produce than a plain pillow-style teabag, and buys shelf appeal and protection against moisture and aroma loss in return. This is the manufacturer's newest model, combining filling, heat sealing, threading, labelling and over-wrapping. As with the Nan Feng machine it uses sealing pads rather than the sealing rollers of earlier generations, which allows paper/PE, plastic/foil/PE and plastic/PE materials to be run, and the loading system adjusts for different bag sizes. Maximum dosage is 6 cm³ into a 62.5 by 50 mm bag. It draws 2.36 kW from AC 380V or 220V and weighs 1,210 kg.
