About this unit
A pyramid tea bag machine running at 50 bags per minute, producing pyramid bags 50 to 80 mm long or flat bags 60 to 90 mm wide by 40 to 80 mm long, holding 1.5 to 10 grams of tea. The pyramid format exists because of what whole leaf needs. A flat bag compresses the leaf against itself and the water never fully circulates; a pyramid gives the leaf room to open, and the non-woven fabric and nylon filter materials used here are both transparent enough for the leaf to be seen, which is the presentation whole-leaf tea is sold on. The machine handles green tea, black tea and other leaf, and is also used for pyramid or flat bag packing of food spices where the aroma is meant to pass through the bag. Packing material rolls come in 140 and 160 mm widths, with 120 and 180 mm as options. It runs 1.2 kW at AC 220V 50 Hz, needs air at 0.6 MPa consuming 200 litres per minute, weighs 420 kg net and measures 1.84 by 1.13 by 0.98 metres.
