About this unit
Lifts fruit between levels on a scraper flight, which is how tomato, mango, peach and apricot get from a wash tank up to the next stage without being tipped or dropped. Soft fruit is easily bruised and a scraper elevator is specified over a bucket or belt because the flights carry the load at a shallow angle rather than letting it tumble. The scrapers are food-grade hard plastic or stainless steel on a stainless bracket, and the flight profile is shaped so fruit does not wedge at the return and water drains back rather than pooling behind the load. Bearings are double-sealed against the constant wet. Drive speed is variable, so the lift can be matched to whatever the stage above it can accept.
