About this unit
A soymilk plant is longer than a dairy line because the raw material has to be taken apart first. Beans are received, dehulled, rehydrated and ground, then the protein is solubilised and the solids separated and clarified. Inhibition follows, and it is not optional: raw soy carries compounds that must be deactivated before the drink is fit to sell. Only then does the line reach standardisation, homogenisation, cooling, storage, sterilisation and aseptic filling. Separation leaves okara, a solid by-product usually sold into animal feed, and whether you intend to sell it or dispose of it changes the handling equipment at that point. The line can run several recipes, so flavoured soy drinks and beverages come off the same plant. Send your recipe range and the pack format you fill into.
