About this unit
A reducer turns a spiral inside a tube and the material moves along it, which makes this the most compact way to shift pulp, pomace or prepared fruit across a factory floor. The cross-section is small, the route is fully enclosed, and it can be fed or discharged at several points along its length rather than only at the ends - useful where one line feeds two downstream machines. Everything but the drive bearing is stainless steel. The enclosure is the real argument for a screw over a belt: a sealed tube keeps product off the floor and the floor out of the product, and it will carry a wet or sticky material that would cling to a belt and have to be scraped.
