About this unit
An open seafood display refrigerator in stainless steel, 2,000 × 1,000 × 900 mm, 600 litres, held at minus 15°C on R404a with fan cooling at 650 W.
Open display is a deliberate choice and an expensive one to run: there is no door, so the cabinet is fighting the room all day. It is specified where sales depend on the customer seeing and smelling the product, which for fish and seafood is most of the time. Keep it out of a draught and away from a doorway and the running cost is manageable; put it opposite an entrance and it will not hold temperature.
Stainless throughout, because this cabinet gets ice, brine and washdown daily and painted steel will not survive it. Minus 15°C suits display over a trading day rather than long storage.
