About this unit
An 8 tonne mobile crane is self-propelled on its own carrier rather than mounted on a truck chassis, which makes it more manoeuvrable on site and less suited to long road journeys. It suits yards, plants and confined sites where the crane stays put for weeks at a time. Carrier type, steering modes and tyre specification are set against the ground it will work on, and the machine is built to that.
