About this unit
At 320 HP the crawler dozer is a bulk earthmoving machine: mass excavation, overburden stripping, dam and embankment fill, and push-loading scrapers. Production per hour rather than versatility is what it is bought for. The high drive undercarriage matters more at this size than at any other. A machine of this weight working continuously puts very high shock loads through the drivetrain, and raising the final drives out of the track line is what keeps those loads in the undercarriage where they can be absorbed and serviced. Blade, ripper, undercarriage and cab are specified at order and manufactured to the buyer's schedule.
