About this unit
Rated at 160 horsepower with a 4.5 cubic metre blade, at an operating weight of 16,800 kilogrammes. That weight is the thing to notice: it is some 600 kilogrammes under the standard crawler at the same power and blade size, which lowers ground pressure slightly and makes the machine marginally easier to float and transport, at the cost of a little traction when pushing a heavy load uphill. Where sites are soft or access is tight, the lighter machine is the better buy; where the work is sustained bulk push on firm ground, the heavier one holds better. Drive is hydraulic.
