About this unit
A deep search metal detector is built to find metal at depth rather than at the surface, which is a different problem from the one a handheld screening detector solves. It is used to locate buried caches, weapons dumps and large buried objects where the target may be well below normal detection range. Depth performance depends on coil size, frequency and soil type, so the sensible starting point is the ground being searched rather than a headline depth figure. We build to the specification supplied.
