A Construction 160, 200, 220, 260 Rotary Drilling Excavators bores large-diameter, cast-in-place foundation piles by rotating a telescopic kelly bar and drilling tool into the ground, then hoisting spoil out with the tool before pouring concrete into the finished hole. It is used for deep foundation work on bridges, high-rise buildings and other heavy structures. The drilling tool -- bucket, auger or core barrel -- is swapped to suit soil type, from soft clay to rock.
