Lebanon is a market where the machinery is often the straightforward part and the operating environment is not. Buyers here are technically demanding and the country has a long manufacturing tradition, particularly in food processing. What has changed is the infrastructure the equipment must run on and the financial arrangements a purchase has to fit. We quote Lebanon with those constraints treated as design inputs rather than as complications to be discovered later.

What Lebanese buyers specify

Food processing leads. We supply olive oil extraction and refining plant, which remains one of the country's signature products; bakery and confectionery equipment; juice, syrup and beverage lines; dairy processing; and food packaging machinery. There is steady demand for equipment serving the preserved foods and mouneh trade, and for cold storage and refrigeration across the fresh produce and catering chains.

Beyond food, we ship water treatment and pumping plant — a persistent need given municipal supply constraints — along with solar systems, generators and power equipment, workshop tooling and small-scale construction machinery.

Shipping to Lebanon

Consignments route through the Port of Beirut, which remains the primary entry point, or through Tripoli, which has taken a larger share of traffic in recent years and can be the better option for northern destinations. Inland distances are short and haulage from either port to any Lebanese site is a matter of hours.

Shipments leave with the packing list, commercial invoice, certificate of origin and any inspection certificates required. Where a buyer is working to a specific banking or funding arrangement we prepare the documentation to match its requirements exactly, because a mismatch in Lebanon is more likely to stall a payment than a shipment.

Built for local conditions

Lebanon runs on 220 V at 50 Hz, with Type C, D and G sockets in use. Equipment is built to that supply at the order stage. More importantly, mains supply is intermittent across much of the country and a great deal of Lebanese industry runs partly or wholly on private generation. We specify plant for that reality: staged starting loads so a generator is not tripped when the line comes up, soft starters where the duty justifies them, and control systems that recover cleanly from an interruption rather than requiring a full manual restart. If you tell us the generator rating at the site, we will size the line to it. Manuals and control labelling can be supplied in English, French or Arabic.

Payment and phased supply

Purchasing conditions in Lebanon are unlike most of our markets. Buyers frequently need quotations held for longer, structured to suit a particular banking route, or split so that a line arrives across two or three shipments rather than as a single committed payment. We can work all three ways. Tell us the constraint at the enquiry stage and we will quote around it rather than issuing a standard proposal you then have to negotiate.

Installation and support

We commission on site and train operators. Lebanon has a genuinely strong base of mechanical and electrical skill, and plants installed here are usually maintained locally without difficulty. Wear parts are identified with specifications at handover so they can be reordered ahead of need or matched from regional suppliers.

Getting a price

Send the product, the output you need per hour, the port you prefer, and the generator rating at the site if the plant will not run on mains alone. You get a machine list, a delivered price and a lead time in writing, structured to fit the payment route you are working with.

Spare parts and holding stock

Resupply into Lebanon can be slower and less predictable than into most markets, and a line held up waiting for a single wear part is an expensive kind of downtime. We recommend buyers here take a spares package with the plant rather than ordering reactively, and we will put together a recommended holding based on the actual duty of the line rather than a generic list. The parts most worth holding are usually the ones that are cheap individually and impossible to improvise: seals, belts, bearings, screens and the specific electrical components in the control panel.

Rebuilding and replacing existing plant

Much of Lebanon's food processing capacity is long established, and a good proportion of our enquiries here concern replacing a single machine within a working line rather than building something new. That is a different specification problem: the new unit has to match the throughput of what sits either side of it, accept the same input condition and deliver the same output format. If you are replacing within a line, send the makes, capacities and, where you have them, the drawings of the adjacent machines. It costs nothing at the quotation stage and it is the difference between a machine that drops into place and one that becomes a bottleneck.
