Relief Tent and Blanket Manufacturers and Exporters in China
This division holds 9 relief and humanitarian items across 3 ranges – tents, thermal blankets and buckets – manufactured in China under our own brand and exported worldwide. Relief supplies are procured against agency specifications rather than commercial ones, and those specifications exist because the wrong item does not merely disappoint: a blanket rated for a heated room issued into a cold response leaves people cold, and that is a procurement failure rather than a product one.
What are relief supplies specified against?
Published agency standards. Thermal blankets carry a TOG rating and a fibre specification; tents carry fabric weight in GSM, frame section and treatment. Those figures are what an agency compares, and they are stated on each item here rather than described in general terms, because a relief tender is evaluated on whether the figures match, not on how the product is written up.
Relief supply ranges in this division
| Range | Equipment | Applications |
|---|---|---|
| Relief Tents | Family tents, double fly ridge tents, mini rub halls and PVC multipurpose tents, clinic tents | Family shelter, medical space, storage and distribution points |
| Relief Blankets | Low thermal and high thermal synthetic blankets, 1.5 m by 2 m | Indoor and cold climate distribution |
| Relief Buckets | Plastic buckets | Water collection, storage and distribution in household kits |
How to specify relief supplies
Which blanket for which climate?
The TOG rating decides it, and it is the single figure to get right. A low thermal blanket at minimum 1.5 TOG is for indoor use on a bed in a building with heating. A high thermal blanket at minimum 4.0 TOG is for cold climates and unheated shelter. The two look similar, cost differently and are not interchangeable. The higher grade also carries a wider list of agency approvals, which reflects where it is actually needed.
PVC or canvas tents?
PVC at a heavy GSM is fully waterproof and the right choice for storage and distribution structures standing for months. Canvas breathes, which matters enormously for anything people occupy during the day – a sealed PVC structure becomes unusable in heat, and a clinic is the clearest case. Choose by whether people sit inside it or goods do.
What should a relief tender state?
Quantities, the destination climate, and the standards the items must meet. Those three determine the specification entirely. Where the response is cold-climate, say so explicitly, because it changes the blanket grade and the tent construction together.
Specifications and standards to compare
| Equipment | Key specifications to compare | Relevant standards |
|---|---|---|
| Relief Blankets | TOG rating, fibre content, dimensions, dry weight, fire and air flow resistance | ICRC and IFRC standards; the high thermal grade also meets UNHCR and UNICEF requirements |
| Relief Tents | Floor dimensions, wall and centre height, fabric GSM, frame section and gauge, accessory pack | Specify required standard at enquiry |
| Relief Buckets | Capacity, material, lid and handle type, stacking | Specify required standard at enquiry |
Blanket standards are stated here because they are recorded on the products themselves. For everything else, name the agency specification you are procuring against at enquiry.
Who buys from this division
| Buyer | What they typically need |
|---|---|
| Humanitarian agency | Items matching a published specification exactly, in deployable quantities |
| National disaster authority | Pre-positioned stock sized to a planning scenario |
| NGO or relief organisation | Household kits combining shelter, thermal and water items |
| Peacekeeping or military deployment | Field accommodation and bedding in unit quantities |
| Procurement agent | Line-by-line quotation against an agency schedule |
| Municipal emergency store | Durable items for repeated local use rather than single deployment |
Packing, pre-positioning and lead time
Relief procurement is usually either urgent or pre-positioned, and the two want different things. Urgent orders are limited by what can be produced and shipped quickly, so state the deadline at enquiry rather than after quotation. Pre-positioned stock is stored for years before use, which makes packing and storage conditions part of the specification – compression packing saves warehouse space but affects some fabrics over long storage. Say which case applies.
What is included and what is not
Supplied: the items to the specification and quantities given, packed for export with documentation. Not supplied: in-country distribution, warehousing, or certification on the buyer's behalf. Where an agency specification is being procured against, send it as issued so the quotation can be made against each line rather than against a summary.
Questions buyers ask
What does the TOG rating on a relief blanket mean?
It is a measure of thermal insulation, and on relief blankets it is the figure that decides where the blanket can be used. A minimum of 1.5 TOG is specified for indoor use on a bed in a heated building. A minimum of 4.0 TOG is for cold climates and unheated shelter. The two look similar and are not interchangeable.
Which blanket do the major agencies specify?
The high thermal grade carries the wider approval list, covering UNHCR, UNICEF, ICRC and IFRC requirements, which reflects that it is the grade needed in cold responses. The low thermal grade meets ICRC and IFRC requirements and is intended for warmer or heated conditions. Match the grade to the response climate, not to the budget.
Should I order PVC or canvas tents?
By whether people occupy it during the day. Heavy PVC is fully waterproof and right for storage and distribution structures standing for months. Canvas breathes, which is what keeps a clinic or family tent usable in heat; a sealed structure becomes unbearable inside by mid-morning. Many responses need both.
How quickly can relief orders be produced?
It depends entirely on quantity and whether the specification is standard. State the deadline at enquiry rather than after quotation, because for an urgent response the lead time is the specification in practice, and what can be produced and shipped in the time available may differ from the ideal item.
Does packing matter for pre-positioned stock?
Yes, more than for immediate deployment. Stock held for years before use needs packing suited to long storage, and compression saves warehouse space but affects some fabrics over time. Say whether the order is urgent or pre-positioned, because the two are packed differently.
Can you quote against an agency specification?
Yes, and it should be sent as issued rather than summarised. Relief tenders are evaluated on whether the stated figures match, so a line-by-line quotation against the published specification is what gets compared. Paraphrasing is where mismatches enter.
